In celebration of the AVPSY release, I kinda felt like remembering this moment.
Comic-Con 2010 - my friends and I were just relaxing in a hallway, when one of them pointed out a guy with awesome purple pants…I turn to see the (then) tell-tale Darren fro wandering toward us.
I shoved my camera into my friend’s hand and quickly walked over to ask him for a picture. He seemed super excited that someone in the middle of Comic-Con knew who he was, even though he was there specifically for a Harry Potter panel the next day (AVPS had JUST been released)
After the picture was taken, he stayed and talked for a little while, because Joey had been sucked into Hall H, so he was just wandering anyway. We joked about Joey hopefully not getting stabbed in the eye while he was in there (it had happened to someone the day before), and he was just a generally great person. It just felt like talking to a friend, and I hope he never loses that quality.
The best part was when he said he was afraid that the Harry Potter panel would be empty, because it was the same time as the Glee panel. I will never get over the irony.
I went to that Harry Potter panel the next day, it was completely PACKED, and EVERYONE knew all of the words to ‘Gotta Get Back to Hogwarts’
